There were 13 contestants who participated in the Karaoke contest. Each of them sang two songs and gave great performances who were judged by Freeway the Band, out of Jacksonville NC. SERVICE PROJECTS

Little Free Libraries

As one of our signature projects, we are constructing Little Free Libraries to be given to the Onslow Partnership for Children to be given to local schools and daycares in our community. This initiative provides books for all our citizens-birth through adult. Readers are encouraged to “Take a Book, Return a Book.” Whether you are a book recipient or a book donor, Little Free Libraries give us all a way to make literacy a focus of Onslow County.

Thanksgiving Meals

Our Club works in conjunction with our schools to identify families that need meals for Thanksgiving. We strive to donate 100 meals to children during Thanksgiving to include a turkey and all the sides. We are able to do this through a partnership with the Piggly Wiggly and through our fundraisers that we undertake each year.

Christmas Cheer

Christmas Cheer began in the early 70's with the mission of helping families in need during the Christmas season. This is a great example of our community coming together to help one another. Christmas Cheer begins in October and runs through the last week of December. Gifts are offered for children up to the age of 12 and if resources are available to teenagers up to age 17.  Also, boxes of food are provided to the entire household. Our Club sponsors a family each year as well as provides a number of volunteer hours to this worthwhile cause.
